IFR Question of the Week

Question: What does it mean when an ASOS reports FZFG?

Answer: FZFG = Freezing Fog. This doesn't actually mean there is fog freezing, it means that visibility limits have been met. Less than 1/2 SM visibility and temperature below freezing.
